snapped some SS's last night as I went out exploring I thought Id share. Also made a Fae to check them out. You EQ2 vets will get a kick out of some of these.

Druid Ring in Butcherblock

The Chessboard

ent to LFay from BB

Ent to obelisk of Blight in Lfay

Unicorn (they seem to have multiplied in 500 years)

"Old" Kelethin

Cloaks look awesome!!!

Gfay Wizzy spires

another shot of kelethin

Steamfont Mts

Windmills in Steamfont

Gnomeland Security

Battlebots

rear view of my fae, check out the lighting

front fae view

Couple things that stuck with me.

BB seems a lot smaller than I remembered, but I could get an idea of what was what. Sighting shore from the ship I literally gasped as I instantly could recognize the docks being the same ones from EQ1, only slightly more elaborate.

I played a druid in EQ1 so of course I had to set out and look for the druid rings. That area was where I would port my group often. There used to be a merchant there to sell our stuff, but it looks like his descendants did not take up the mantle.

The chessboard is huge! Im going to try and climb up the giant chair next time I pass by it

I found a spot in Kelethin marked "Old Kelethin" and did a little happy dance. It looked almost identical to the EQ1 Kelethin newbie area, the one where you would fight by the elevators, get trained with a dozen Orcs in tow and run up there to sell your stuff? Last night was a very nostalgic time.

I also found Crushbone. They actually have the tunnel through the mountain before you get to it. I didnt explore too far as I had so much more to see, but it looked lke I would expect Crushbone to look like after 500 years.

The Unicorns have bred like rabbits since we last left the Pained Unicorn. I did not glimpse the Pained Unicorn, nor know if its in the game, but her great great great grandchildren sure as hell are.

A guildie did have a brownie sighting, but I didnt see any. One of the new master spells you can get is for the Brownies. I of course, got that, purely out of vengence.

Cloak animations are truly amazing. I wasnt sure how well they could do it, but I havent seen cloak animation this good before IMO. Also they finally fixed the horses and they are amazing!! I saw one of the spirit horses last night and they added a blue tinge to them. I think I may return my mistrider and go get a spirit steed again.

The Wizard spires: I'm following a road looking around in Gfay when I get this update that I have found the spires. Looking left then right I saw nothing but what I thought were cliffs. Until I scanned up. And up and up. These things dwarf you!!!

Steamfont was very cool, but my tour was cut short as I went to fight in the MM catacombs with a couple guildies. I cant wait to go back tonight to check it out.

I quickly made a Fae last night and I have to say I really love the graphics on their wings. You can really play these guy up for any feeling you want. Sk made a Fae in beta with spikey black wings, kind of made them look leathery and bat like, perfect for those males who have a hard time getting past the fairy aspect heh.

I was overall impressed with my first exploration. I didnt check out loping plains too much but I did run through and it seemed dark and dreary, perfect for what Mistmoore is all about.

Great pictures, thanks for sharing!

There are plenty of lvl 50 brownies not far from the Gfay zoneline in Lfay. Haven't seen many other higher levels, but there's an encampement even of brownies, but with Lfay being the maze it is, it is almost impossible for me at this time to say where exactly it can be found.

Very nice pics p. it's as you said they look like the old world updated to eq2 graphics. I bought the dig dwnload today and im suffering through the very long download, why did i pre download again, i realy like huge downloads what was i thinking.I drive a truck for a living and gettig my rig into a store where i could buy the expansion on disc can get tricky so i usaly just get the download.
I'm looking forward to cruiseing through the old haunts. To bad unrest isnt ready yet i had 55 gallon drun of whooparse ready to roll in there( much payback hee. And yes the brownies are on my hit list to but at lvl 50 as i saw posted elsewhere it should be a good fight. I still play eq1 on occasion, its like old tennis shoes to me hard to throw away, but hopefully this expansion will bring back the feeling of ubberness my wizard had when she got her first set of Silk way back and was promptly killed by a kobold. is Erudin in this expansion or not yet? Maybe a later one? Anywho im on Permafrost so the odds of grouping with you guys is slim, i rarely post but i check the boards on occasion when im realy stuck. You guys are allways good with the advice. keep it up, there are people who say nothing who appreciate the great posts. Thks and remenber be good at what you do or just run faster then the Ogre. Imdead Again 48 Ogre Sk Permafrost. Zish was my warrior in eq1 for an Fyi.
