I was watching my wife play and I decided to downlaod the demo.

The game runs smooth for the most part but it gets a little choppy while I'm running and spinning the camera at the same time, and if I zoom the camera out my character model turns into this generic crash test dummy kind of thing.

My PC isn't the best on the market and it kind of old but it's a P4 1.8 Gig processor with a 256meg vid card and 1g of ram.

The recommend spec was a p4 2.0g and I had everything else, I'm just wondering if it's the demo that's shotty or if it's my pc? Her's isn't much better than mine I don't believe, it's a AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3500+ 984mhz and 1g ram. It's a Comp USA E-machine with an extra 512m of ram thrown in to give it 1gig.

Any suggestions?

Try turning down some of the visual settings? Your specs seem decent for what they give, but to be honest, the specs the give aren't all that accurate.

You have enough RAM so that isn't an issue. What kind of video card do you have? Can it handle the Shaders well? (Mine can't, which is why I ask. I go down to 4-5 FPS in large cities, though that has a bit to do with only having 512 mg of RAM. ><) Also, you can try updating all your video card drivers (that helped me quite a bit when I did it).
