So i'm still new to the game just hit lvl 20 and was excited to start with the achievement system but after completing a few quest relized that i wasnt getting any achievement xp for completing the quest's.
I have kingdom of sky installed and registered. I am level 20 and the quests that i was completeing were green to me.
I am not sure if there are any other prerequisites other than that such as a npc to talk to in order to start earning or maybe the quests have to be equal to your level.
Any info on getting started earning achievement xp would be incredibly helpful.

In order to recieve achievment experience you must first have KoS and be level 20. You recieve experience in a few ways.

Quests that are blue.
Collections.
Killing named mobs for the first time that arent grey.
Discovering new areas.
Hitting 70 all kill experience goes to achievments.

Your first aa is easy to get just need 1 discovery or named or quest really to get it after that they get longer and harder to get.

It's a bit odd at times though, not all quests give axp. Repeatable quests don't, not all anyway. It is very logical that they only give axp the first time, but for instance city writs do not give any.

Not all named ones give axp as well, even if they aren't grey. Although I have no clue which do and which don't.

But in general, blue quests give axp, all collections (higher than lvl 20) give it, named ones, discovery too.

Mind you, if you finish a lvl 17 quest at lvl 20, you won't get any axp, same with low lvl collections.

(as darks said, to get the first ones you need to do very little. Just explore high lvl zones and watch all the axp fly. I would advice trying to explore a lot at a low lvl, you get a lot more of it than waiting for lvl 65 to explore the Bonemire for instance. A lot of zones are quite accessible and survivable to explore, perhaps not all classes though)

Exploration XP is limited to T3 and above so you won't see any AA points in Antonica or Commonlands and below. You'll need to be in T-Steppes or Nek Forest and above.

AA = "Alternate" Advancement = EQ1

AP = Achievement Points = EQ2

I'm now on a crusade to get everyone to refer to them correctly and disassociate them with the "gotta grind them or be gimped, but they aren't levels" mess that is EQ1 "Alternate" Advancement.

It depends on your class. The first page improves stats and gives extra perks/abilities to use for your class pair. The second page is improvement on ability lines, like haveing faster cast times or more damage.
