Hi,

I seem to have missed my chance to get into Alchemy on Newbie Island. I've read a few things here, but I'm not quite getting it.

I'm in Quenos (or however its spelled properly). Who exactly do I have to talk to get my "freebie" tradeskill boost to 3? Then where do I go to sign up for the Alchemy guild? And finally where to I buy recipies from when all this is said and done? The more specific the better. I'm having a hard enough time not getting lost. :D

OK first things first. As a Qeynos citizen, you can tradeskill in any Qeynos TS instance and the guy standing outside the door will start you off with your first recipes and free XP (hail him) and will also sell you all the recipes you can stand!

You can find a TS instance in each village, (they are usually located downstairs, beneath a storm door. There are now additional crafting machines located in all of the city zones like North Qeynos and Eldaar Grove but you won't find the trainers there.

From lvl 1-9 you will be an artisan and as such you can make any item from any of the nine crafting disciplines.

When you reach lvl 9 you will choose to become a scholar and from lvl 10-19 you will be able to craft anything made by any one of the 3 scholars (alchemist, sage or jeweler).

When you reach lvl 19 you will choose to become an alchemist and from then on alchemy recipe books will be the only ones you can scribe.
