Ya know...I really do hate WoW...Follow

Why do I hate it? Here's why..

It's too popular. I'm surprised it hasn't started a WoW franchise yet with it's own line of toys and fast food restaurants.

It has over 8 million subscribers. That means it holds more then 60% of the MMO market. That should be considered a monopoly. Plus, half of those players are miserable little addicts who play 24 hours a day.

The game itself is very over-rated. It's too dumbed down and simple to play. It's like diablo. The community sucks too, they're a bunch of whiney little adolescent ******** And they're dumb...which makes it worse.

If it weren't for WoW, EQ2 would be on top, and it should be anyway because it's the better game. Everything about EQ2 is better. Infact WoW is a total ripoff of the EQ gameplay idea.

Oh and the graphics suck. Thank you.

I can't say I hate WoW. I have never played it. I can tell you that 60% does not justify the term monopoly, most games you play are ripoffs of other game ideas and there isn't much you can do about the community besides enjoying EQ2.

I don't hate WoW. I played it for about 8 months. But I agree on the points that it's too easy and the community just wears me thin.

Think I'll stick with EQ2 for a while.

and btw, the Haunted House is pretty fun, even though I died right at the end. Smiley: frown

60% market share denotes a majority not a monopoly.

And I don't hate the game. It is easily avoided and keeps the children contained and out of my way...

I see this in much the same way I view the EQ2 PvP servers. Since I have no interest in that format, I am happy to have all the people who do enjoy that style of play contained in a seperate enviornment.

I also don't care how many people do or don't play EQ2 along side of me. The popularity of the game does not in any way alter my self esteem. I don't require 8 million subscribers for self-validation.

WoW was fun, for quite some time. Not everything has to be dificult, try completing the old book quests in EQII, some of them will positively drive you nuts!

Nevertheless, EQ II has lots of things to do that are just as much or even more fun, has more content (although I'm getting pretty bored at the moment, time for that expansion imo) and is just all-round better imo.

Oh by the way, Mistress Nadenu, where did you find that Haunted House? Did some trick or treating yesterday, but no one seemed to know where the house was as yet.

Haunted house is in North Qeynos near the Eldar Grove zone in. It's the Ironforge Exchange building. And it is much fun :D Clue about the end...don't actually fight the zombies. There is another way to kill them...if you really want to know how, I can give ya the spoiler, but didn't want to do it in case you didn't want to know. ;)

8 million accounts world wide but there not taking in consideration that 1/2 of them are plat farmers

They dont have plat :P

Well I have alot of friends that play it and its just not my type of game. Its mainly solo to level 60 then spend 4 hrs every night raiding. While I spend 4 hrs a night gaming I dont like being obligated to raid and I dont like the raid hours most people have.
