OK, my friend has a 56k modem and I was wondering, could I just give her a disk with the updated files from MY computer to eliminate or cut down the update time?
You probably can. I've never tried it but when you log on to the patch server all it does is check the dates of all your files against the dates of it's current files so it can replace anything that is out of date.
If all the dates match, it won't have anything to download.
