what is the best strategy for takeing on a heroic of equal lvl as an assassin pre-lvl 20. im only asking cause i have noticed that stun just doesnt see mto last long enuf for a good flanking combo.
No character is meant to solo heroic mobs. Especially even con heroic mobs. They are group mobs and are meant for groups of adventurers. Stick to solo mobs or get in a group.
Start off with your high damage attack (the sneak and from beind one) the go all out on the frount of him, use the DoT ability you get first. Cheap shot to get around im and use that side attack that puts you back into sneak and Hit him with another high damage sneak attack. If you have a really good bow and good ranged attacks that deal higher damage than your sneak attacks then use cheap shot and run back go all out on ranged then melee again once the stun wears off. If you cant take em down with that then they are too strong for your level. Cheap shot lasts for 6 Seconds on normal mobs i think it is reduced to like 3 seconds for heroics. Assassins are very fun and all but if you want solo-ability I would go with a brawler or summoner.

Unless it is even^ there is no way you're going to win normally unless you have a full set a rare armor and adept III combat arts. And that's just a theory.

Achievement xp really helps. I think there is one that lengthens stuns, isn't there? Also, if you fill the int line (hard but not impossible to do before your level 20 reference point), you can get an amazing poison ability. And constantly be checking to see if your poison has worn off. Good poison makes a big difference even if you have no AA.
If you play your toony good and have nice attacks/gear I think you can kill alot of ^^^. I dunno bout this "^^^ are not meant to be solo'd", cause if its true it excludes your super dps mages. I see the assassains/swashes solo some pretty good heroics...and they don't even have a root like I do. I've seen an SK solo a ^^^ blue con. I get bored and solo blue con ^^^ names or go duo nest with a healer. Theres alot of really weak ^^^ mobs :p. Just practice at em - you'll figure out a method. Plus, solo'ing heroics is the only way you drop exquisite chests for yourself. =)

the thing to do is try and gte the assassin aa for your stun.. with 5 points it increases the duration to 2 seconds and if your fast enough u can get behind the mob, hit a quick debuff on the way and backstab quickly.. this shud help your attack do more dmg becuase the debuff and the 2 sec stun helps prevent a hit or 2 on you from the mob
i uhave successfully soloed even con ^^^ mobs and stuns/stifles and debuffs really help sway the battle in your favor. also if you need the extra little heal, try getting some vitality breach poisons that will do a little bit of dmg and heal you for a little as well
AA's are key, if you can get them early on and want to solo, go for the str line and max out your parry aa which will help you avoid a hit when it counts
