I've been playing wow since the game released. I've played other MMORPGS like city of heros and lineage :( but the more i play wow the more i realize how easy it is. wow is like easy mode for mmo's anyone who calls someone else in wow a noob doesnt realize that they are noob themsleves for thinking there hot stuff for bein lvl 60 in a game where everyone and there grandma has a lvl 60. im debating on moving over to EQ2. I played some of it when it forst came out but found it very difficult to navigate and find npc's abd just frustrated me more then anything. I see they made alot of changes. My question is will the transition from wow to EQ2 be a smooth one or will i be spamming the chat channels with noob questions every 5 minutes? also is there anyone with a guild that will take a EQ noob in and show him the ropes?

They have done a lot in the last year to make EQII a nice medium between WoW easy and EQlive Hardcore. The addition of Echoes of Faydwer expansion next month will expand on 1-69 game and also build up on the end game.

The learning curve is still there. The world is vast and they don't hold your hand and guide you around like World of Warcraft.

If you can make it over that initial hump well then you have one hell of a game. Find a friend that plays, read the manual, make sure you pick up EQ2map UI (gives maps that show quest/npc locs) and use Ogaming EQII DB for quests.
