I'm not there yet but I will be soon. I was told that I need to get an expansion package to be able to harvest Tier 6. I think I need to get Desert of Flames...

Yes. T6 is Desert of flames - zones include Sinking Sands, Piller of Flames, Rujarkian Cliffs, and a host of others.

i just bought the new echos fadwaye so i need more of them to get my tier 6 items ?

i think EoF has all the previous expansions and the original EQ2 info as well already included, so if you have the disc you should have all you need :)
Has it been confirmed that eof has all the previous expansions?
