Another race to 70Follow

#1 Oct 05 2006 at 11:27 AM Rating: Good
I find that Abuj and I are almost neck and neck in another climb to the top.

I can remember back a few months when his monk was a couple levels ahead of my warden and with both of us in the early 50s, I had to wonder if either of us would make it to lvl cap before November.

Now we are both in the middle 60s and the last of the down home race is on!

Amorina (my warden) is currently lvl 65 and I believe Abuj (the monk) is now 64.

So who will get there first?

I have pulled out all the stops and am headed for 70 as fast as I can get there.

Any handicappers out there have a line on the game?

I'm giving 3:1 odds to OldBlue and 10:1 on Zie. You can PM me with your credit card bets and I will happily keep track of the "particulars." Smiley: sly

Take your time.

Unless you plan on raiding there really is no reason to rush to lvl 70. Make sure you complete both Mark of the Awakened and Claymore Sanctum of the Scaleborn parts.

Easy for you to say Bodhi... you're already 70! :)

But yes... raiding T6 now and about to start T7 raids.

Started Claymore, about to begin Mark.

My motive: just once, I wanna hit the lvl cap before the new expansion streets!

Are you and Abuj both on Najena/foundation?

Both on Najena yes. I am no longer a member of Foundation. He is.

Amorina ftw!

I'm not really that motivated to work on levelling at this moment myself. I'm halfway to 65 at this moment, but am playing with another char to pass the time.

No motivation really, but the new expansion is coming soon!

As I don't raid and tend to play in low population moments as it is, I'm not entering the instances in the KoS areas. Which drastically reduces the quests I'm able to do. Apart from the dungeons, I've done all the quests in TT, done most of the quests in the Barren Sky too actually. And I'm a level or so too low to try out the quests in Bonemire I haven't done as yet.

If you don't raid it is still possible to do PUG instances like HoF etc to help get your character some achievement xp and also legendary gear.

Definitely an option worth exploring.

That's true, never did group much but the times I did was quite enjoyable. Perhaps I should talk to the people from Shadowhaven guild :p

I do prefer to group with people I know, sort of anyway.

How's this then... went on a nest run last night and *Ding 66* and with 89% vit remaining... Oh my! Looks like it's gonna be a busy weekend!

Not that I endorse poaching loyal guild members, but we're always looking for a few good toons and have several Euros and Aussies to keep you company! :)

Gratz! I occupied myself with the new world events (very dissappointing) and finally getting the electrified bone bladed claymore.

But I should get 65 tomorrow, in theory that is.

Lol, I was more thinking in the line of a friendly cooperation for PUG's :D

I'm enjoying Foundation too much at the moment, we've just got to hit 30 soon!

Reached lvl 67 on Monday night. Well on the way to 68 now... maybe by the weekend.

A couple of nest runs and a long trip thru PoA and ding 68! Should manage to see 69 before the weekend is out.

After finishing a quest at the Bonemire (killing 8 of three types of Vornerus, Insectsurrection), I got a very good set of dual wield slashing weapons that give a constant 23 damage against Ravasects.

Unfortunately, I've only used crushing weapons (batons) so far, so my slashing was at about 0 out of 329.

That took quite a while to get to 329, so I'm about halfway to lvl 66 now :D

It was worth it though, fighting the Ravasects (and there are some writs that require this) works a lot better with 23 damage every hit than the occasional 230 damage with my gleaming procs.

Still, at my current rate, I definitely will not hit 70 before the expansion, there's no way I'll manage that.

Go Abuj!

Frankly, I don't know how you find time to level with your 1,098 quests you have done. :)

Grats OBD.

Now you just need to switch servers and join Bane.

Edit - Raid bosses will give nice AA xp first time, Vyemm and Tarinax each gave me a full level for the first kill . I found running SoS and PoA for 2 hours yesterday in a group of 4 gave me 1 full level of AA.
