I have just tried the trail of everquest and i love it but i wanted to get more out of the game. I have a athalon 3400, 1 gig of ram and a geforce 6600. I play at aa balanced setting and i get 15-20 fps. What should i upgrade to get playing at high or very high at 30+ fps. Should i gte a radeon x1950? This is how my game looks atm.file:///C:/Fraps/EverQuest2%202006-09-26%2015-55-24-04.bmp I hope someone can help me =X

You definitely need a better graphics card. I'd suggest a Geforce 7600GT, 7800GT, or 7900GT. I use a 7800GT, 2gb ram, and AMD 3700. If you can afford more then go for it. The better the card, the faster you'll run eq2.

Since you already have the 1GB of RAM yes, upgrade your video card or go for a 2GB overload like me :P

Does the 2GB make a lot of difference compared to just the one? I've got a Radeon 9800pro vid card myself, but don't want to upgrade as yet until Star Trek is out (if ever but that's besides the point), just wondering if 2GB makes a lot of difference.

IMHO it does make a big difference. The system ram is used for temp storage of some larger textures like landscape so the additional ram will improve your zoning times
