Do Mystic recive a pet in EQ2 like Shamans did in EQ1?

I havent played a shaman but if I remember right I *think* they get a wolf. Not sure if it actually does damage though
Grouped with a 70 mystic last night in my first nest run. They get a dog companion that acts like a pet. In addition, one of their AA lines buffs the dog and causes it to proc heals and cures on the rest of the group. Pretty cool.
