How big of an experience increase?Follow

Yeah I was checking up on EQ2 and saw that they increased the experience gain on some mobs. I was curious as to how much it actually increased. Is it a huge difference? Is it worth it? Or was it a nominal change? I've always wanted to play the game, but never had enough time to keep playing. so all i'm asking is is the increase big enough to REALLY effect how fast you level?

I used to play EQ2 when it first came out. The highest I got any character was 28. Granted, I started over on different servers twice, but still - level 28 in about 6 months was all I managed. I'm not a hardcore player, but that still was a bit slow.

I've since come back and my playtime has been even less than when I played the first time. I've got my new character up to lvl 27 in a little over a month's time. (and I mean I don't play much at all.) So while I'm not sure of the exact amount, the increase *is* noticeable.

This one seems to depend on who you ask. First off you should note that the expeirence increase only effects green mobs. Anyways, when you ask non soloers it seems most still think experience is WAY to slow but the kids that group all the time think its increased too much. Some soloers are happy, but most I saw while happy for an increase feel its way to slow.

I think that if you want to play EQ2 you just have to accept the ups with the downs. EQ2 has a much much deeper world with way more things to do, and the developers are willing to improve the games lore and world in ways that the fans actually want which is great. The downside is EQ2 will never be nearly as solo friendly as other MMOs. It will always be slower and it will always not be as rewarding. SoE simply does not the game to be extreamly solo friendly, they have shown this with EQ and now EQ2. They recognize that they are loosing alot of people keeping the game unfriendly to the solo market, otherwise they wouldnt send out emails for both games and comment in interviews how much more solo friendly the game is. But the truth is that Moorgard and other developers have a little to much ego to actually change the game from their view of what they think the game SHOULD be.

Started in April, havent been able to play much in the last month. I am lvl 69. Also have a 22 zerker.

Grouped and soloed quite a bit.

With a game like EQ2 racing to end game is a shame cause there is so much to experience between 1-70. Quests, stories, zones, etc.
