I was planning on coming back to EQ2 but then I heard about EoF. Given that not only are the Fae really cool looking but also that EoF comes with EQ2, and both Xpacks for $40 I figured id wait for it to rejoin.

Heres the thing though. I want to play a Necro...and I want to play a Bixie. Im wondering if anyone has heard anything about if Bixies will be limited on classes at all....I really cant see them as an evil class.

I'm also wondering how betrayel works for a Necro anyways. I know if your a SK and betray you become a Paladin and vice versus......what would you have to start off as if you wanted to create a Necro out of a good aligned race like Fae or High Elf? Would it be a Conjurer?

Fae are a good race, so they cannot start out as a necromancer. However, Fae can betray to Freeport, so you can start as a conjuror and once you're accepted in Freeport you'll become a necro.

It has been stated that any race which was able to start on Faydwer in classic Everquest would be able to start in New Kelethin. If true, this would mean Wood Elves, High Elves, Half Elves, Dwarves, and Gnomes as well as Fae.

No evil races or evil classes can start in New Kelethin, but they can visit and won't be KoS to the guards. I'm guessing that a new evil city might be in the next expansion. Echos of Kunark...?

Thanks Lydiaele thats pretty much exactly what I thought. It leaves two questions with me though.

1. Will Evil charcters still be allowed to train since we are not KoS to guards...and while not KoS will they still dislike evil charcters.

2. How do you do betrayel now? I havnt played in a year and I heard they switched things so its no longer a long grueling quest.

There is no training as in EQ1 or WoW. You automatically get the basic version of all your new spells/combat arts when you level, up to 50. Improving them is a matter of aquiring upgraded versions, which you can get from drops if you're lucky, craft yourself, commission someone else to craft or buy from other players via the broker (sort of like the auction house in WoW or the Bazaar in EQ.) After level 50 you don't automatically get the base spells, you just use all the other means of aquiring them.

(NPC's sell a one-level upgrade to the basic spells which I don't believe anyone bothers with.)

I haven't done betrayal before or after thr revamp. From what I've heard it's better now, but I don't have details. I think they eliminated the need to kill 500 gnolls or orcs.
