1 - Yes, but it will slow down the higher you get. Also, you will be hard pressed to find the best gear because it usually comes from mobs tagged as "Group Encounter"

2 - 70. The cap was originally 50. After the 1st expansion, Desert of Flames, it was raised to 60. The 2nd expansion, Kingdom of Sky, raised it again to 70. The next expansion, Echoes of Faydwer, will not continue the trend, so you should have time to get to 70 before another cap is instituted.

3 - I have not played either, but it might help if you ellaborated on your definition of easy/hard and what aspects of the game you are referring to.

1) yes, you can solo all the way to the cap with any class you choose, however you will see more content, fight more interesting mobs, and generally have more fun if you join a guild and play in a variety of situations (solo, duo, small group, full group, 2 group raid, 4 group raid).

2) As stated my my esteemed colleague Mearyk, the current lvl cap is 70 and that will not change with the release of the next expansion in November.

3) Harder than WoW, (but then a rousing game of "find your foot" is harder than WoW!), easier (to succeed in) than FFXI.

Here's the bottom line; this game contains a dev team that is constantly striving to make the game more engaging and as a result, the game just keeps getting better all the time.

The classes are extremely well balanced, every class is wanted in groups and a group never needs a specific compliment of characters to succeed. This allows for the most flexability and variety in the group dynamic.

As an example, earlier this evening, I was in a 4 player group grinding guild status writs in T7 (end game). We had 2 wardens (62 & 63) a fury (63) and a guardian (65). Now you would probably think that a group consisting of 3 healers and a tank would not be very effective, but believe me when I tell you that we were chewing up the zone and had a ball. We also leveled the guild to 46 (yay us!) and had a memorable evening in spite of not having a "proper" group.

Point of this is you would have to go a long way to find a game that is more flexible or more fun!

My GF and I duoed to level 70 (Illusionest and Necro). We pretty much only grouped to complete important quests. So throw any pre-conceived ideas of what a group "should be" out the window.
