How does Paladin work in this game? Is the DPS ok, good healing capabilities, good aggro holder? I have played FFXI & WoW Pallies, comparisons are welcome. ;)

Oh, and I'm a Dwarf too, if that make's a difference.

Is it a satisfying class to play in a soloing perspective? I plan to group too, just wonderin'

Thanks in advance,

Paladins can solo well, heal, ward(damage absorber),do decent DPS,and can hold aggro pretty well :P that sums it up in my knowladge of a pally

PS: you also get a 10% run speed horse at lvl 20

Regarding race, it doesn't matter in this game. You may have higher initial stats, but the gear you aquire will boost your stats.

Fighters typically have lower DPS of all the classes. Within the fighter group, Monk/Bruiser are best for DPS and Guardian is lowest. Paladins are probably around the middle.

You do get some nukes to help your fighting, along with heals. I've played in groups with all sorts of fighters, and they all do well, IF they are played well. I've also seen a knucklehead tank-player that couldn't keep himself or the group alive. After he left and a Monk took over, we didn't die once.

I've got my palandin up to lvl32 at this point. You can tank just fine with a Paladin, just make sure you have a shield for the grouping situations, it'll keep you alive in large group battles when your DPS isn't important.

DSP for a Paladin is low, just like all the other fighter types. You will have a couple of nukes and a few heals, but overall you aren't playing a DPS character. For solo play, switch to a 2 handed weapon and get that offensive stance in place, then you'll do just fine.

Soloing a Paldin is quite satisfying for me. It takes longer to kill the mobs but as long as you've got the best armor available, you should be able to stand toe to toe with appropriately sized mobs.

Sorry, I can't compare to FFXI and WoW.
