How come no EQ2 Alla updates?Follow

#1 Aug 21 2006 at 12:18 AM Rating: Decent
I am not sure if this is the proper place to ask this but since this is EQ2 GENERAL I think it's at least a good place to start. What has happened to the updating for the EQ2 page on Allakhazam? It is almost september and the last "update" was on May 22 and it wasnt even an update... just some stupid E3 coverage crap. I have already purchased both expansions and got screwed on the tradeskill revamp and am still playing, albeit hardly never now that EQ1 progression servers have started, but would be playing a hell of alot more if I had all those answers to all my searches in regards to all the updated material and what mobs drop what advanced tradeskill recipes now and what the correct revamped recipes are. I pay a premium to this Alla site because of the great job of updating and keeping on top of things with EQ1 and am a little peeved at the current situation here. Does anyone feel the same? Does anyone have any answers for me? Is there another site that I havent been able to find that would be able to fill this major gap until the new owners of Alla get their heads outta their...... anyways.... HELP !!!

The entire backend database is being rebult and replaced with the ogaming content we aquired in the merger. Mostly backend stuff at the moment. Regular updates should resume at some point in the not too distant future, but for now everyone is concentrating on getting the new components working.

Okay cool.... tyvm Dread Lord for the speedy response with an answer that actually answered :) I may have to start spending some more time back on EQ2 lvling to be able to start harvesting the next tier for storage boxes and the new item racks then. We will see. When the updates come, I expect them to not end for a while being as the input has stopped for so long and so many changes were made to the game during that time period.

DDthree wanted to know:

what mobs drop what advanced tradeskill recipes now and what the correct revamped recipes are.

Advanced tradeskill books are uncommon drops off any MoB up to level 50, and beyond level 60. The level of the MoB will always match the level of the book, so if you want a level 20 book, kill level 20 MoB's. They will have to be at least green to you.

Level 1 - 9 books can be purchased from the usual tradeskill vendor outside the instance. Level 50 - 59 books can be purchased in the bazaar in Maj Dul or for less money in one of the Courts if you have the faction to get in.

The level x0 books are new with the revamp. Some classes have other new books for levels where they had no recipes previously.

You can also buy the books from other players through the broker.

Can you be more specific about the second part of your search?
