PVP Halfling Ranger needs helpFollow

I have a 25 ranger in PVP. Whenever I get into a battle the first thing that happens is I get stunned. By the time i come out of it I am in the red. My question is what can I do to resist the stuns? I heard high intellegence will help resist stuns. Also any advice from you veteran rangers. BTW I like my Halfling so I am not going to reroll a different race.
