Always a joy tanking when you have a good group of people along. Went into Stormhold with my Berserker, Smoggy's Fury and Barkingturtle' troub (alla posters) and picked up a random mystic and a illusionist. Made 3 levels and had 2 masters and a fabled drop. Only two wipes in 3 hours and that was just goof ups and randomness that happen to the best groups.

Being a tank is my true calling but I havent played one in a MMO in a while, probably since I left FFXI back in mid 2004. I had a warrior in WoW but leveling was all solo and the few times I took him into an instance I immediately regretted it thanks to WoW's horrible community.

Really nice to get out and run a group through a dungeon smoothly. Now I just have to work on my positioning for scouts and I will be back into the swing of things.

My zerker is a blast to group with.

I'm not one of those "I want to be a tank and do dps" types, rather when I am playing as a tank I don' care if I am hitting like a girl as long as I can hold aggro to the point that even a mage nuking all out couldnt get the mob off me.

My zerker has two single target aggro spells, 1 single target CA that does damage and increases aggro, and a self buff that gives a 20% chance to increase threat by 'x' amount everytime I get hit which allows me to hold group aggro. Plus with a sword and board I can take a solid beating.

My only true problem last night is that I am playing a giant Barbarian so those tight hallways in Stormhold made for some camera issues which didnt help the few times the mystic pulled aggro. I am going to have to make a Healer assist key to clear that up.

I will jump on board and stroke your ego some here; you did a mighty fine job last night. I've got to agree about the barbarian size issue, though, and if I weren't so darned sexy I'd regret rolling my troub as one.

I'm no expert on finger wigglers, but I believe one of them has a spell that will make you smaller... handy in a tight corridor.

Or... you could try one of the shapesifting totems when the need arrises again.

I have to say there wasn't a person in the group that I was displeased with. The illusionist was great on mezzing, the healers managed to keep me alive even though I was wearing lvl 10 armour, BT's dps was very solid.

It was a definite improvement over our trip into Blackburrow where I consistently pulled multpile groups and we wiped more times than I care to remember.

Went out and bought a whole set of lvl 20 crafted gear for cheap and upgraded a number of my spells. We are gonna have to do that again in style!

I upgraded just about every slot and several of my spells before logging last night, as well. Looking forward to our next romp.

As for the shrink spell thing, that would be great, but any sort of illusion would prevent me from gazing longingly at my toon and sighing dreamily, and I couldn't have that.

Another thing I have seen on ocasion for height issues is to change your race with a spell. If you have the splitpaw saga you can become a gnoll reletivly easily. Other then that just complete a races bone collection quest you can turn into that race. Granted it does take another bone of that race to change. A note on this though. If your fighting gnolls dont turn into one. It just gets confusing.

I was fighting in Sanctum of Scaleborn, and one of the clever mages turned himself into one of those Droags (quest reward). I was wondering why my pet would not attack him...

I myself am still a bit unsure if I really enjoy playing a class that can tank. I really liked Monk at early lvls, and the fact that they are able to obtain a healing ability early on.

Zerker on the other hand.. I am a bit distraught about as I miss the solo-ability as Monk, and the healing ability itself. Neither are above 20, and I havent fully judged based off of low lvls yet. However, I must say I am really missing playing as Ranger. Glad you enjoy Zerker and the ability to tank. Hopefully I too will grow to enjoy it as much as you do.

Monks are great, apart from only having one heal ofcourse. Other than that, loads of fun to play with, real up close melee combined with a very fun invis, feign death, decent damage,...

Good times last night - I'm amazed we didn't die more often with me being main healer! The mystic covered my heiny very well when things got out of control...

I guess I didn't do too badly as healer for my second dungeon romp ever. The first romp was with Bhodi and BT in Blackburrow - just the three of us. Deaths were to be expected. As evident from last night though, we improved and we'll keep improving. I was lucky to get some really nice lootage by the end of the evening.

I'm feeling a little more comfortable playing the healer role. It was a fun night - but I can't do the whole staying up til 2am every night Smiley: snore...maybe every other night Smiley: tongue. A tired Dwarf Fury does not make the best of healers at 2am...

My main now is a monk and I've always played my best as a tank (EQ, WoW and EQ2). I love the scout classes as well, but once I started playing my monk, I was totally hooked. My fury is fun and a nice change of pace. I'm really digging the winter wolf look. Smiley: waycool

Best of all was having a blast playing the game in a fun group. I hope this continues for a long time.

Gave my zerker another go tonight to see if I could give it one last shot.. All I can say is that it is not for me. I will be sticking with scout classes.
