several questions from a new EQ2 playerFollow

Hi all,

I have a couple questions about EQ2.

1) Is there a way to circle strafe that doesn't involve the mouse (like a keybinding) You could do it in WoW, by pressing your strafe button (for example, stafe right) then pressing your turn left button, this would move you in a circle around your target.

2) Is there a camera setting to "flip camera" or as in EQ1, to setup custon camera views?

3) Is there a command for closing a specific window, so I could setup a macro to close my tracking window. I have track on a hotbutton, but when I am finished looking at it, I want to be able to bind a hotbutton to close it. In EQ1 I could just hit escape, because it would escape out of the last window I had openned. That doesn't seem to be the case in EQ2.

Thank you for any advise.

The Q and E keys are strafe left/right respectively.

Not sure about the camera controls, I believe there is some in the Options menu, but not much.

There are hotkeys for almost anything, and a way to set up a primary and secondary button for almost anything. And is that doesn't work, you can set up a macro and assign it to a button, then a key to do it.

The key-mapping ability is solid, you can re-map your entire keyboard if you want to.

Thank you for your suggestions, however.

--> This is not the same as circle strafing

Not sure about the camera controls, I believe there is some in the Options menu, but not much.

--> agree, I can not locate any way to set a custom camera view or to 'flip camera', which is extremely supprising, considering camera views are a basic feature of any video game.

There are hotkeys for almost anything, and a way to set up a primary and secondary button for almost anything. And is that doesn't work, you can set up a macro and assign it to a button, then a key to do it.

--> What I need is the specific command to close a specific window (for example: the Tracking window) I understand hotbuttons and setting up macros.

The key-mapping ability is solid, you can re-map your entire keyboard if you want to.

--> I have remapped all the keybinds to suit my game play style, I am just suprised some basic options are missing.

- Enable the Auto-Face Camera option to circle mobs you're fighting. Personally, this functionality annoys me so I keep it disabled.

- There is no alternate sticky camera angle by default, but you can change your angle dynamically with the mouse or whatever key bindings you have it set to.

- I wouldn't call a key-binding to close a niche window like the Tracking window as a "basic" option. Regardless, try "/hide_window mainhud.Tracking" or simply "/close_top_window".
