Bought EQ2 nov 9th, started a half elf fighter that became a paladin. Havent played in awhile but i am thinking of coming back. At the time i started playing, eq2 was any race, any class. IS it still like that and if it isnt, what would happen to my half elf paladin? Thank you for your time.

yup. Now you dont have to work to get to the class you want, but if you want to be a freeport based race with a qeynos based class you still have to betray. I have a dark elf swashie. All I did on creation was make a brigand and then betrayed with her. BTW, half elfs can be from both cities so you have literally noghting to worry about

I dont think the customization that EQ2 gives will never be gone (as in the all races can be all classes lol).
