Missing items in the Lookup?Follow

I started playing EQ2 on the Najena server a couple of days ago and found a tome of Offensive Boon (Master 1). I've been looking on Alla and in google and can't seem to find any mention of it. The closest I've found is the Apprentice III version on another website. I've noticed this with a few different items, am I missing something here or is the item database missing a lot of items still?

As a side note, I realize it's server dependant, but what kind of ballpark figure should I throw Offensive Boon up for?

Sadly, both the Alla and Ogaming DB have quite a few things like this. Quite a bit of missing/miss information amoung other things. Ogaming is MUCH better then alla though in terms of how much and up to date the info is. I'm interested in why you were wanting to look it up though since you've already found one and all the info about it is right in the item desc if you examine it.

As for an item price, it varries a lot more then server imo... the lower level the less likely you are to get a high amount. It also depends on what the demand, in terms of jobs, it is. Then of course if it is a job on your side or not (though with that new scribe thingy... but I think that is for PvP servers only since I don't think you have a "black market" on PvP servers) will determine a bit also. For example, I have 2 master 1s up for 10g each, level 20ish I think. They've been up for probably over a MONTH at that price and haven't sold. Every now and then people put em up for lower then me also... i'm about to just sell them to vendor since I can't even give em to guildies.

I was mostly wanting to see what people were saying regarding the rarity of the item and glean what info I could from the posts to decide what to sell it for. There weren't any others up for sale and I'm still pretty new to the game, so I lack a lot of knowledge about other class spells. I scanned the dirge listing and didn't even see it there, although I may have missed it in my haste.

Rarety has little to do with price.

Mostly it's utility gained that plays the big role. Example would be a Conj/Nec may pay a decent bit for a M1 nuke. But they'd rather have an M1 elemental/nox debuff. Even moreso, they'd rather have an M1 pet.

Fighters would love to upgrade their CAs, but moreso their stances. Even more important still is their taunting abilities. Just examples.

You also need to look at longevity. While M1 Offensive Boon may be a very good tech to upgrade, you're looking at extremely low levels here. It takes a semi-experienced player just 1 night of 4 or so hours to get to 15-20 depending on groupability of the class. Even big twinks may not take the time to buy this for their chars.

Unfortunately it looks like you're going to have to sell to the true newbies... That's fine, but you wont be able to ask much (they don't have much.)

In all honesty, I'd say give it to a friend, or stick that badboy in your shared bank and start up a dirge!

=)

That thought had crossed my mind, as I suffer from alt-itus! I always have to try all the different characters, so hey, it might be nice to have an M1 waiting for me! =)

I came across a level 7 Templar M1 last week on an alt. It was a utility type spell that dazes a MoB for 10 seconds. I put it on the broker for 10 gold and it sold almost immediately. I priced based on other low level master I's on the broker.

You are likely to get more for a low lvl Master from someone who is buying it for his/her little alt... If it is a new character, then they will not have 10 gold for a while, and will outgrow the spell, most likely..
