Turns out you CAN join cross game chat channels between EQ1 and EQ2. Seemed to be a bit buggy, but it worked none the less.

Between EQ I and EQ II?? That is quite odd lol, can be fun I suppose.
As for cross server in EQ II alone, that one's very buggy, used to work well but now I keep getting booted or the game is unable to send my message.

Like I said, it's buggy, but not that odd when you consider chat in the games is universally run. That's why you can join cross server channels, cross game seems logical too.
I have to admit I was surprised and happy to see that cross game chats can work. It was a lot of fun talking with Frakkor last night while he played EQ1 and I was raiding in EQ2. While it might be buggy, the fact that it can work is pretty cool

it went very well! I even got the leggings I was hoping for, relic leather pants. When turned in to a giant mrmorer in Soluseks Eye, for a monk you get Crescent Moon Pants. I already have the boots, tunic, and wristguard. All I need now is the shoulder pads and gloves. Im working on my hat quest now so I wont bother with the relic hat
You can also set up people in other SOE games as friends and see when they log on and off, same as EQ2 friends.
