I'm torn. I've resorted to using my Templar as my Outfitter alt to create heavy armor with, so I've decided to go the path of Craftsman with my Paladin. However, now I'm at 19, and stuck deciding between the Provisioner & Carpenter subclasses. I like being able to make furniture, and it has it's perks (like making my own furniture, and some of it sells pretty good). But as a Provisioner, I keep telling myself that Consumables are sweet because they're expendable, unlike furniture which can be resold if desired. I'm almost leaning towards Provisioner for good just because the market will always be there...but after GU25 and the introduction of those ever-so-pricey (and probably very lucrative) selling containers...I can't make up my mind!

I'm weak...tell me what to do! Smiley: lol

I can't tell you what to do... I can only further muddy the waters!

I don't have a carpenter, but what I do know is that my lvl 59 provie hasn't made any money since LU25. With the new no sub-combine system in place, food & drink have become VERY cheap. These days I see most T5 & T6 food and drink for around 10 - 20 silver per serving. I think the fuel costs almost that much!

Carpenters on the other hand are finally making money. Between the new containers and the T6 rare stuff, there is a huge demand for a carpenter's goods.

Hope that helped!

I already went with Provisioner (aw crap...) but I haven't had much trouble selling off T2/T3 foods & drinks. I don't have any containers yet, but I can move the product pretty well through what I have available in bags on the broker. Only thing is the need to stick to Stat-boosting long power-regen drinks...those seem to sell best.

I'll probably make a Carpenter alt as well now, though...just to utilize both markets, and make furniture/containers. I went with Provisioner more because A) I can already make my Armors on my alt and B) It's nice to just make my own foods so I don't have to worry about it. Making a Carpenter will be solely for money.
