The other night I was talking with the peeps on Blackburrow about a raid target my guild was going after and just how freaking huge he was. Ive never seen a mob this big and promised pics. Well not only did I get pics, but I slapped together a quick vid as well. Ill be honest, its not nearly as polished as my normal vids, and its more of a raiding vid than my usual kind, but I hope it gives you the sense of what Tarinax is like. Keep in mind most of the fight was in the water so you dont get the best feeling of what raiding is usually like, but I did say each raid was unique!

First the pics:

Tarinax 1

Tarinax 2

Tarinax 3

The vids:

smaller and more clearer version

larger version but more blurry ( damn you google!!!)

My guild took down Tarinax for the first time last week end :) He's a badass !

I like DT, it's practically the only raid zone in T7 that has somehow a unique look. All the other zones are cookie cutter zones which is lame imo, but yeah, DT looks good :). Now if only that black lotus BP can drop for me...come on SOE, you know you want to make me happy ! :P

Pretty neat, but I had a hard time finding EQ videos compard to the easy time I have finding WoW videos. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place? It seems like a pretty cool boss, but I'm really surprised at how fast the boss fights are in EQ. Most boss fights in WoW are 10+ minutes.

Bane FTW!

As for videos, they are around its just that vids seem to be more of a FFXI/WoW phenomenon.

It was a ten + minute. YOu wateched the edited version =).

Unfortunately because it did take place in water, a lot of the fight was filmed underwater, so you couldnt see what was going on. I edited that out because frankly, no one would care to see murly non visible raiding.

Ive also noticed a lack of raiding vids for EQ2, but I think a part of it has to do with the fact that the game makes your computer work harder than say WoW. That vid was done on very high performance, all names off except for the person I kept targeted, and particle effects to a minimum. I have been meaning to make a few raiding vids of different places we go to, so maybe I can try and get more out there soon. This one seemed to go over well with the guild.

I was going to post something like that (well not how you had the settings lol) about videos and how eq2 is much more intensive to your PC then either WoW or FFXI. I hinted as to that in the thread about the poor preformance with the pretty good rig. Not so much about why there aren't many eq2 videos but rather as to that fraps makes your pc lag a little more, and with EQ2 being very resource intensive...
