Fair warning (I checked the sticky first btw).

Which class is the most sought after end game? (aka in WoW, any druid or lock can pretty much write their own ticket they're so rare)

Are new servers opened often? Any idea when a new pvp server will open?

Whats the montly cost?

Can someone go in depth on what to expect end game?

Is there a penalty for attacking higher level charactors? (aka in wow, if a charactor is higher level than you, you get chance to hit penalties on top of whatever advantage their gear/skills gives them)

How do the items work? (bop, boe?)

Is there a decent amount of user made mods? Are they legal to use?

Is botting an issue? (don't notice it in wow, but it killed D2 for me, and I hear maple story is flooded with them)

Are the 2 bard type classes sought after for grouping, or should I go for one of the healbots instead? I'm even considering one of the rogue classes since according to a EQ2 cencus site I checked, they are one of the least played classes.

Sorry for the flood, just bored and curious.

Probably none. The class archtype system makes it so any of the fighters can tank, any of the priests can heal, any of the mage/scouts can DPS. I suppose if anything one could say Guardian and one other class from the priest type (forget the name) since Guardians are "the best" at tanking. But you'll rarely find a party halted because they "need" a guardian. If they need a tank, any fighter will do. I'm not all that high a level though, so someone with more experiance in that side of the game (That DOESN'T mean you SR so don't even think it) can answer better.

No idea on either, and I doubt anyone will know until sony makes an official announcment on a new server. With most servers being mid to high pop now i'd say some new servers are likely to open soon. However, that is just my OPPINION and doesn't mean it is going to happen. As it stands I think there are only 2 PvP servers... both which run "high" almost all the time. It is a fairly new addition to the game though.

Well, I don't know about montly, but monthly the price is similar to WoW. They have the 1 month, 3 month, and 6 month pricing just like WoW. Then they also have a full year plan.

Like I said before, not that high so don't really know... (Again, SR, you aren't that high so stay away from this question if you even come into this thread trying spread your crap)

From what I can tell in the little PvP i've played (i'm not into the PvP really) the pvp is divided into level brackets based on zone level. So if you are say a level 65 you can only fight (and be attacked by) people from your level bracket (which is based on zone you're in btw, so you could go to a low level area with another 65 from the oposite side and couldn't fight) so probably 60-70.

Pretty much BoP and BoE, though they call it "atunable" for BoE and "No-Trade" for BoP.

There are a fair amount, check out eq2interface.com to see a pretty good listing of them. If they weren't legal then there wouldn't be so many Smiley: lol. Most of the UI mods are total over-hauls of how the ui looks though, don't expect many "utility" mods like the enemy casting bar, CTRaid, and such from WoW. About the biggest "utility" mod I know of is the EQ2map mod (which people were wondering if it was legal or not and sony actually put up a thread saying it was legal). There are a couple "info-center" mods floating around too. Pretty much just a compiled file of some of the harder/longer quests and a few guides turned into a UI mod.

I don't know of any bots really... though I think DSD has one so she would be a good canidate to answer this question probably.

Play whatever you want... like I said above, the archtype system pretty much elemenates a "must have" class for grouping. In fact, a group consisting of just 4 people (1 from each archtype) can do pretty well.

Edit: Also, if ShadowRelm (or however you spell his name) comes in, just ignore him. He is full of crap (look at some of his other posts and how he ignores attempts to help him, not to mention he doesn't even play now) and should just leave the forums but I doubt he will Smiley: lol

Also, posting in all caps=bad. I'd edit that since you can edit thread titles now.
