So your a Brigand eh tomec? I've played around with one to only about level 8, but ive been in some groups with them at high level.

They seem pretty cool, and Ive had a growing interest in not only PvP, but playing a scout type period.

So it comes down to, Brigand or Assassin I think for me...

At your brig's current level Tomec, what kind of damage can you produce? Also, I know Brig's also have some tricky little debuff's and such. How's the solo play also?

Well even though this would be better suited for the PvP thread... I don't mind helping to hijhack my own thread Smiley: lol

When comparing Brig vs Assassin I think a thread I read on the brig forums says it best:

Quote:
What are Brigands
This is better explained in many countless threads but I'll summarize it here. We are a Tier 2 DPS class. What makes us 'special' is that we have several good debuffing attacks, several stuns and several interrupts. Brigands are good at making an NPC vulnerable.

then continues on with

Quote:
Brigands vrs other scouts
vrs Rangers and Assassins. They are T1 and therefore have a higher DPS. As a sacrifice, they have less utility (fewer debuffs). Are we better than them...... No, its all about the players ability. Note. Some Brigands can and do outperform some rangers and assassins but this is due to a) equipment and b) skill. put two average players together, one playing the assassin and the other a brigand, and the Tier difference is correct.

That really sums it up best really. We have a bit more utility, but slightly less DPS. Our debuffs are pretty nice, especially in a group, and help us hold our own solo. I can kill a mob 2 or 3 levels higher then me with 1 down arrow in about 15-20 seconds if I have all my timers up. If I don't maybe 30-40.

Started playing EQ2. I am really enjoying it too. If course it helps that I just got the quad video card alienware and can crank the game up to the highest setting.

Smiley: lol fun fun.

So, you find yourself going to ogaming to look up quests and such? >_> See what you let this corner of the site slip into! (Hey, Illia told me to blame you and him for this site so ;P)

and in case anyone couldn't tell, i'm just messing around

I saw someone on Lucan D'Lere awhile back with your name, Allakhazam in a guild called Mods. Any relation?

I'm on Blackburrow. And playing has made me realize that ogaming's database is not as good as I thought it was. We're currently working on several things to massively improve ogaming's database when we bring it over to here. It helps that Illia and I have both started playing EQ2, so expect major improvements simply because when we use our site we tend to think up lots of things we would like for it.

ORly? :P

Ya, not the best is it... oh well, with the ogaming stuff coming it'll get better!

edit: That is to say if you kept the functionality of alla and just directly ported the ogaming stuff. Unless you are talking about some of the data IN the db itself and not the ui of ogaming for like searches and such.

Also, I meant to edit this last night but by the time I thought of it the forums were under maint and read only mode.

CAPSLOCK IS CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL!

Also, I'm trying to relieve some stress since I worked all morning and have been working on 6 homework assignments/quizzes and studying for a programming test I have tomorrow. What better way then to act like a fool on Alla boards?

Edit: People on Nagafen use punctuation. (oh burn)

You couldn't give me enough plat to play on a PvP server. The repair bills, hassle in questing, being forced to xp in instances etc. Blech.

Any news on a moderator?

I know as soon as one is in place there are plenty of people, myself included who are ready to start uploading changes as soon as we know they will actually do anything.

I was going to roll a scout alt for my pvp server tonight and if it would help I can SC and take notes on every FP quest from 1-10 (that I can get my hands on) I know that the info on Ogaming is outdated especially on these quests because of a LU in which they changed many of them.

Also was Lucy 2 no possible to be programmed due to EULA/whatever or was there just never enough interest shown in the game to warrant its creation?

Also I think the best start would be to remove all of the Profession Guides, just a glance at the shows them to all be wrong/outdated.

Well from previous posts we know

1) That Admin Rale is slowly converting the Ogaming Database over to Allakhazam format.

2)That Allakhazam is waiting for the transfer from their lil ole "Ma and Pa" ISP to the new flashy super bandwidth ISP.

3) The new servers are being shipped or are already at the new ISP. Instead of the 2-4 faulty servers we have now will be replaced by a bevy of shiny "servers of awesomeness".

So things are in the works its just 'when' thats kind of murky.

Heh I pity whoever takes over the site.

I've been keeping detailed notes about mobs, npcs, quests and what-not taking SCs of everything marking their spots on maps.

Since the lowbie FP stuff is most out of date I've been working on that and am about 15% of the way through all of it.

The database on this site will be replaced by the ogaming site database information, so any mistakes on the current allakhazam site are irrelevant. Rale is upgrading the ogaming programming to make it much better. We are also looking into a way to collect more information directly from the game in a similar manner to how we do our WoW site. I hope to have a site that improves on both the allakhazam and the ogaming site. As for the timing, it will likely be late August. We need to move to a new isp and new servers and negotiating that is taking much longer than anticipated. We also need more time to do the improvements for the EQ2 site.

Thanks I'll keep taking pictures and whatnot, because I know that Ogaming isn't really that big on mob/npc pictures.
