Well, as the subject suggests, is Writs the only way to gain faction with one of the guilds(ie.Fighter,scout,etc)? I was just curious, as I have done several writs, and gain 150 faction each one.
Gaining 150 faction per writ, would take forever to gain ally status with them! I hope there is another way...

I know when I kill some mobs I see "Your faction with *insert guild here* got better" so there are some mobs that will gain you faction with guilds. As for which ones though, I do not know off the top of my head.
The writs are the only way to gain faction with the four groups in Qeynos city. That and the items you at times find from kills.
Neither are that great on their own, but eventually (and that's a big eventually) you will get there.
I think anyway, I don't like most writs and definitely not to repeat them ad nauseum just to get to ally.
At this point, I doubt sincerely that there are any mobs directly linked to these particular factions. That would make it much too easy I'm afraid.

You ever play WoW? Just because you can kill something to gain faction doesn't mean it won't take a hell of a lot of time.

Well, yeah I suppose
. I did play WoW actually, got my paladin up to lvl 60 and a rogue to 40. I was preparing to get my factions up for my paladin actually, but never did muster the courage for it.
