Is it worth it to ally ones self with the courts or would it be smart to play all all three against each other Yojimbo style?

Also does faction with a certain court have certain bonuses?

Faction with any one of the courts will let you into their clubhouse for quest lines and discounted merchandise. (Kinda like Costco!) Needless to say, getting tight with one group puts you on the sh*t list for the other two.

I have heard about players who built faction with one group, ran through all the quests and then flopped to a different group to do the new quests and then flopped again to the third when the 2nd quest line was done.

The only obvious benefit that I am aware of is that you don;t really want to be KoS to whichever faction controls the city at any given time. Other than that, you pays your money and you takes your chances!

Ive just played up all three. I will admit I never got into the Maj Dul quests except for a few of them, but thats because the lag was terrible and I just worked in SS and Silent City. I dont know too much about Maj Dul except for raiding the dragons in there

Each court has the same perks, aligning to one will just set you against the others. Here are the perks:
- Qeynos and Freeport Brokers, although they charge a slightly higher fee
- Mailbox
- Banker (and guild bank)
- Mender
- 1 NPC that will accept all reverse-writ items
- Merchants that sell levels 50-60 spells, artisan books, and special clothing. These merchants are the ONLY place to buy spells this level range, but you may find loot drops on the Broker.
- Already mentioned, lots of quest lines. You can eventually gain a Court-specific title, Vindicator of (court name), I think it is.

Even though Maj Dul is like a multi-level rat maze full of agro guards and patroling flying-uber-mage-cops, it is realativly easy to get around, ducking and dodging the dangers.

That's what makes the city so fun, a safe place yesterday may be dangerous today. Now that's fun gameplay!

When you do the Court quest to kill the captain of the guard in a nearby tower, be sure to listen for the celebratory bells at the end.

Just to add to what have been said...

Once you complete ALL quests of a faction house, it gives you access to a special instanced zone. Those are relatively short, and the blades one was kinda fun and challenging (well prolly wouldnt be so much anymore at 70 lol). Once you complete these, the boss mob for each of these instanced zones drop a token. Once you collect the 3 tokens (and have access to the 3 instanced zones yourself, which means you have to flip faction and work faction with every court), you can go to PoF and talk to some dude in there to open up the quest starter for ring of fate, which was a cool ring at level 60.

You can easily fly through levels in Desert of Flames doing practically only the peacock line of quests and by clearing all the courts. Not to mention that it is much more fun than doing Cache/Roost/PP/AT/Mesa pattern every night...
