Is the search broken or something? Most of the times I get an error message when I search for an item or quest and if I don't get an error I get no hits whatsoever.
Even basic stuff like spells crop up absolutely nothing. Am I doing something wrong here? I've tried various ways of searching ranging from complete name of item/spell down to keywords and I get nada.

Possibly broken because of the data merging going on with the ogaming DB... could also be just that (to be honest) the DB here as it stands SUCKS ROYAL ***.
I'd go with sucking *** just because its the EQ2 database.

Hehe, yeah I guess that could be it. I also noted that tons of stuff that is *in* the DB is painfully out of date. Oh well, maybe it'll get better...
The stuff here is very out of date, but since the entire database of Ogaming is about to be brought over, they left this place stagnant until such time. Supposedly it should be in the next couple of weeks
(Actually, it's been stagnant pretty much since launch...)
