I have been gone from EQ2 for a very long time, and just came back. Only issue, is that I cannot find how to start using tradeskills. I left the isle of refuge without starting them, since I did not see the starting quest for it in it's usual place (maybe it was just changed). I have found the Artisan Essentials vol. 2 book for sale, but I dont have any recipes at all to get to level 2. Am I stuck without being able to tradeskill, or am I missing the way that I can get my beginner recipes? Any help is greatly appreciated!
As a side note, I am really liking all the changes to the game! I am glad I came back!

If you go inside the crafting instance there should be some person you can talk to that will get ya level 2. I forget who but I think they are on the first floor.
You speak to the same guy who sells you crafting supplies (fuel and such). Be sure to hail him and he will give you XP to lvl 2 and your starting lvl 2 recipes. With a stack or two of black coffee and a stack or two of fish you should be able to get most of the way to lvl 10.
If you follow this up with the crafting quest you will get free copies of all the recipe books between 2 and 10 and a boat load of XP plus some nice goodies and a bit of coin.
