What Music Do You Listen To While Playing EQ2?Follow

I found this great website for all kinds of music while at work. I've been on a celtic/new age kick lately so I checked out Celtic Highway. I wanted to hear some more this weekend, so I turned it on while playing EQ2. It's been an awesome enhancement to my gaming.

I never listened to music with my MMORPGs other than the in-game music. While EQ2 has some great in-game music (the Feerrott comes to mind), playing this music with the game has made for a more immersive experience.

It's great atmospheric music for fantasy gaming like EQ2. I'd say 98% of the music works really well. It's a mix of celtic and new age (ex., Enya, Loreena McKennitt, etc.).

Anyhoo, I was just wondering what you all listen to while playing EQ2 - do you go with something more immersive or play something to pump you up? In the end, it's all good. Smiley: cool

My computer can't handle playing EQ II and music at the same time. And as I don't have a radio or cd-player, I don't play music at all.

I did with EQ, but mostly just the music on my harddrive, which is far from being celtic or new age I must say.

I alternate between in-game music, playing music on my MP3 player (don't like putting more strain on my PC then I need to, and EQ2 is fairly heavy on resource use) and having the TV run in the background for just background noise.

In genereal, I play any MMO with my 2 friends. We play in the same room, and generally watch anime while playing. When not watching anime, its usually techno or any variety of metal.

I usually just have the in game music playing. I'm not sure why, especially considering I craft a lot and that tradeskill instance music is the absolute [/i]worst[/i]. I'm generally not too fond of the rest of the game music, really. It all seems pretty dull to me. That's one area where they dropped the ball compared to EQ1, IMHO.

Anyway, just this weekend I decided to keep listening to The Raveonettes while I played. That's what I've been listening to lately "Brit-Pop" and whatever label they put on music like that from other places.

<editorial_comment ignore="true">I am sooooooo happy to see popular music getting back a sense of melody, upbeat wit and sense of humor. Way too many 90's and early 00's needed anger management classes and a Prozac regimen. Apparently where kids and artists are concerned, the less you have to complain about, the more you do.</editorial_comment>
