my comp wont suppor tmore than 512 :(

I could see a really old PC not supporting more, and the rest of the specs would support that... Though unless he put in the video card himself than I wouldn't think it is that old, since I do believe the X700 isn't a really old card, so mobos out then should support more then 512. But, that CPU is an older model I believe so it makes me wonder.

Maybe it isn't a mtter of supporting but not having free slots for ram? 2 slots only isn't uncommon for semi-old PCs and I could see someone who doesn't know a lot about PCs knowing you can take out the ram and replace it with larger sticks. But the vid card/cpu combo has me interested... I'm not saying the OP is dumb or anything, but that is weird. Think you can give us the make of your mobo?

As for EQ2 running... it should run, but it'll probably look like crap. Personally I run 2gig of ram with a 128 vid card and 2ghz cpu (Athlon xp 64 3000+) and run comfortable on just above the "medium" settings. Well, that was what I used as a base setting then I tweaked some things like lighting, water, shadows, animation...
