I've been playing WoW for the last 1.6 years, I'm i am starting to get a little bored with it. Has anyone stopped playing WoW and returned to EQ2 to find it is more exciting?

Countless people have left WoW and landed in EQ2. Chances if you are an adult, you'll be more at home here as well.

Reason i left EQ2 was leveling was really hard for me. WoW is really easy to level, but you need to be in a high end guild for any real fun.
Has EQ2 gone more the PvP route?
Does levling still take a really long time?
Why can't MMO's be free, then i could play 2 of em, lol

There is a ton of solo content to allow you to advetnure by yourself.

There are PvP servers but you don't have to choose them when you create a character. You can choose a PvE server like Najena.

You'll find that you fly up to level 20, run to 30, haste to 40, then begin to slow down. Of course anyone can grind out levels and reach the level cap within 5 weeks.

i got bored with WOW after just 6 months. The endgame was boring and i didnt care for PVP much. EQ2 is still great fun for me. The first 20 lvls are different also. They are revamping all of the dungeons to give more named creatures that drop nice loot.

I play both games. When I start to get bored of WoW, I go to EQ2. When I find myself in a rut on Eq2 I go to WoW. Right now Im more EQ2 and havent hit a rut in a long time. I love both games but thats cause each is vastly different. If youre bored of WoW, I thik you would really enjoy the aspects that EQ2 has to offer

I also play both. I stopped playing EQ2 over a year ago, but recently came back after getting a bit bored with WoW. Sony has made a lot of nice changes to EQ2 - I was pleasantly surprised.

My characters were all still there when I reactivated my account, so I suggest you go ahead and reactivate your account and play a month or 2 to see how you like it.

I'm back in EQ2 after WoW. I really enjoyed WoW for the most part. Yet for me, WoW is like an amusement park. Once you've hit all the rides a few times, it gets boring.

EQ2 has gone through some really great changes. I've been having a blast. I'm starting to understand the wisdom on character limitations. My alt-itis is really out of control in EQ2!

I have stopped actively playing WOW few months ago, been playing EQ1, EQ2 and trying out new games.
Finally, few days ago I decided there's no point paying Blizzard if I am not playing and closed my WOW account.
I might try WOW again when the expansion comes out though.
