Thinking about playing EQ2Follow

#1 May 07 2006 at 11:44 AM Rating: Decent
I'm a WoW player who's been getting rather... bored with the game as of late, and I'm looking for something else to play. EQ2 looks like it fits the bill. I'm an old-school EQlive player - I played it for about four and a half years, off and on - and I've got a level 60 Warrior in a high-end raiding guild in WoW that's lead me to be... pretty burnt out by now.

I played EQ2 in Beta and right after the game was released, and it really wasn't very good. I've been playing with the new trial they have, though, and from what I've seen and been hearing the game is vastly improved compared to what it used to be. I know that there's got to be some kind of Allakhazams forum-goers guild (my WoW character started out in the Allakhazam forum-goers guild, namely Kharma Trolls, until it was eventually broken up). Got any suggestions for servers to roll on, or people to help me get acclimated to the game?

Hi RPZip! EQ II has changed a heck of a lot since beta and the beginning of the game. And it has only improved imo.

Much more enjoyable, quests are abundant and loads are soloable (just about every quest is actually, given enough levels to have passed, a good part are still only really worth it if you get a group for it), good expansions, ...

Tutan most likely will provide you with good info on a Najena guild "Foundation", there are others who have guilds on other servers. A great guild, good company!

Many months ago, we all gathered around the warming pan and put together what was supposed to be an Allakhazam-goer guild. Some rolled up characters, met in game, but it never got enough steam to take off.

Fast forward 2 expansions and 9 updates...

Consider Najena. We have a bustling poputaion, stable economy, guilds of all levels, and players in almost every zone. We have several regular forum-mates from here in the guild.

When you get there, look me up. I can help you get started with directions, guidance, upgrades, and some coin. Type /who all foundation to see who is on.

See you there!
