Is it always like this? I've been checking it for the past week or so, and never see more then 5 recent visitors. Hell, the same topics are on the front page from last week.

I thinkt he fact that EQ2 forums on the EQ2.com are actually readable compared to the pure intellectual void of the posts on the blizzard/wow boards affects it also.

Example:

WoW Official Boards

Player X: Hey guys I am new to the game I was wondering if you can give me some advice?

<insert 300 replies 'OMG NEWBZOR, your question makes baby chu[/Aqua]ck no[Aqua]rris cry roflcopter'>

Player X leaves in a huff and eventually finds the Allakhazam WoW boards where he can get help without harrassment.

EQ2 Official Boards

Player Y: Hey guys I am new to the game I was wondering if you can give me some advice?

<insert a handful of helpful replies with good advice>

Player Y never has reason to go find or utilize the Allakhazam EQ2 boards

Another key factor is content. Most people who come here have the common sense to look through the threads to see if their question has already been answered. We have more than enough EQ2 vs. WoW/FFXI, class against class, etc. threads that answer the majority of queries one might encounter.

True, the EQ2 O-Boards dont make my eyes bleed like WoW (the mass stupidity on there is palpable).

I have been extremely busy and haven't been checking in as much in the last month. I also have a knee injury that at times has kept me form playing EQ. Hopefully I will be back and as active as I was before, which is not saying much.

Sorry to hear you're not feeling up to par, Zoo... here's hoping you recuperate quickly.

You may want to say:

SELLOUT! YEAH, IGE DOESNT OWN ALLAKHAZAMS... IT'S PARENT COMPANY DOES. THAT COMPANY IS RUN BY THE FORMER CEO OF IGE AND IS NOTHING MORE THAN A FRONT FOR IGE!

To be more readable.
