I don't know much for troubadors to be honest, but really race doesn't make a huge difference in eq2. IF you really want to get down to the nitty gritty I would venture to say being a scout class that AGI is important to them? If so you might go with a race with a AGI bonus (think wood elves and frogloks have good starting agility. Ratongas I think have good AGI, but you would have to betray to be a troubador I imagine). But once again it doens't make or break you. I have a ogre necro for instance and obviously OGres don't start with a heeping amount of INT.

I like the more unique charactors like the Ogre Paladins (shadowknight who betrayed), Troll singer's, etc. There is more then enough Barbarian guardians, but how many Ogre Paladins are there?

Race does not really matter, some have better starting stats, but gear makes up 90% of your stats any way so choose the look you want. If you like to see a huge ogre playing a lute go make one, or a tiny gnome singing songs of thought go ahead.

Just so you know bards main stats are agi/str/int. We need agi for power, str for melee damage, and int for our songs.

my opinion for troubador is go for a halfling, theyre very fast, pretty good avoidance, and they have a fairly good amount of intelligence.

...for maybe the first 15-20 levels.

After that, the stat boosts you get from gear will make any initial starting stats meaningless. Your stats will be defined by your gear.

i dont know what it is with people saying that armor makes up stat points because it dosent you will have a little less no matter what then a dominant race for that job. Be what you want and have fun its just a game but i beleive most forget that

Actually those starting stats are meaningless, when you start getting stats over 400 those couple of points count for less the 1% in the calculations. If someone is worring about 1% of a calculation of percentages, they are too much of a min/maxer to even bother grouping with.
