pally or ShadowknightsFollow

Yea ok i have a 15 pally and a 11 Sk and i was wondering which can solo better...so far the pally is sucky balls and the SK is owning i tried with my pally to solo a lvl 12 ^^ heroic with my pally I didnt even come close to kill it but with my SKwhen he was lvl 8 i soloed a 7 ^^^ herioc mob and killed it ( with only 13 Hp left) but he had one more ^ than the gnoll i found with my pally anddidnt even come close even with a 100 dmg shield on.i really dunno so im askin you guyz. and another thing is it the races?? my pally is a froglok and my Sk is a ogre. so just wonder.

I solo green heroics just fine with my paladin and I have for awhile and I am 57 now. I wouldn't judge the class based on what they can do pre lvl 10. The heroics under lvl 10 are not like heroics at higher levels. Heck if you want to go that route my newbie Fury can solo yellow con heroics in The Caves and he has crap armor and app 2 spells. I also played a SK to 24 and didn't have as much luck with him. Problem I have with SK is pitiful heals. Paladin can really help out in a group with a lacking healer. I don't know how many times I have kept myself alive with heals when the healer was lolly gagin and/or just not able to keep up.

All in all I think Shadowknights do abit more DPS, however they don't have nearly as good heals (if any). And the extra DPS is not really going to make or break you in a group as they are still a TANK and not DPS.

I would say a Shadowknight would be the one to pick if you was doing PVP though. Harmtouch could really hurt another player.

Paladins nor Shadowknights are DPS classes. I don't care if you have a full set of master 1 spells and fabled gear your still going to do ALOT less DPS then a scout or mage.

Your spells are usually upgraded every 14 levels. Your not goign to get heals to the point you are a priest class. My 57 paladin has a 1.2kish self only heal, a 950ish ward and a 700ish single target heal. I also have a 650ish AE heal.

As far as mitigation goes I could be wrong but I doubt there any any difference in what a Paladin or Shadowknight will have. Guardians will generally have more HP and mitigation then the other tanks though. But that is because They are the purest of tanks and have the absolute worst DPS. I would imagine a Paladin or Shadowknight side by side would have pretty much the same mitigation assumeing they had the same armor. The race might make a slight difference, but not enough to make or break either.

It sounds to me you have all ready made up your mind and want to go with a Shadowknight from the way you talk about it though. As far as high level grouping goes I would venture to say a Paladin and a Shadowknight would have the same chances of getting a group. A group does not care what kind of DPS you do as a tank they just want you to stay alive and keep the stuff from attacking the DPS and healers. REally I would say a Guardian will generally get a group over any of the other tanks since they have better taunts and can tank things better.
