Theres this guy in my guild that is level 30.....

... and still on the newbie Island.

I'm not sure how he did it, but oh boy would that take some kinda dedication. I'll prolly ask him later or something.

I kinda doubt you can get that quest at lvl 30 and even so I think the zone has a slightly different name when you go back.

The only thing I can think of is he grinded out every bit of exp he could till everything was grey THEN he did the quests boosting him maybe 1 or 2 levels. AFter that he could have had a alt buy him every collection quest out there and turned them in on newbie island? That might ding a person to 30? Would have to have alot of money and it would be quite pointless other then to say "Hey look at me im on Newbie Island!"

It's the saddest story about being bored in EQ2 ive ever heard lol. So what he killed guards over and over again ? Or is there some kind of repeatable quest? Either way, youve got to have a lot of time to waste...

Are you sure that you can't buy collection quest items and transfer them to the character on the island through the shared bank? You would need a crap load of platinum.

There is a collection quest guy on the island and none of the collection quest items are no drop, no trade, etc....

Either that or somehow kill Herioc level 15 guards. But you would have to be really lucky @ level 10 or 11 to kill these guards. Most of the mobs turn grey @ level 11.

I admit that it would be a tremendous waste of time. But whatever floats your boat!

You can put the items in the bank but i think only the guys in the town accept them.

Not true I twinked out a couple new toons by using the shared bank slots, don't know about collections not working there tho.

Is he one of those guys who complains about no content in the game? Maybe you should clue him into the rest of the world. Or is he just too cheap to purchase the game?

He is actually doing it just to do it. He has another high level toon and he is just experimenting. He says he has done it by mentoring, but at some point, I know he will stop getting experience.

You do get xp, but it scales to a point. If you are a few levels above the person you are mentoring you will receive a larger percentage of xp than you would if you were well above their level. For instance, a level 30 mentoring to a level 6 will produce little to no xp for the mentorer but will increase the mentoree's take substantially.

Made up words ftw!
