Good Morning AllakhazhamFollow

Logged in. Tooled around in Feerrott hoping to get Agony to start the screaming mace HQ (if you haven't noticed I've been on a kick of clearing out the very few old, now grey, HQs that I haven't done for status and completeness' sake). Wasn't lucky. Noticed that I was at 98% of my level, so I went to Barren Sky and walked into Palace of the Awakened. I had two quests whose final step was "Enter Palace of the Awakened". Opening the door caused me to ding 63 and score another AA. The next 5 seconds went as follows in my head: "Yay! 63! Now I can...I can..really do not much more than I could 5 seconds ago...hmm..oh well, Lost is coming on." *logged out.

Now what up wit you!?

For a second I thought I was on Ogaming, with the ritualistic "Good Morning Ogaming" posts.

Come on now, he's just trying to get some traffic going, or up his post count. Maybe another title would be good though...

Anyway, I'll bite. This is a somewhat typical scatterbrained evening of EQ2 for me.

I logged into Starcrest Commune and immediately looked to see if I sold anything. Darn, skunked again. So I ran over to the bank and changed out of my crafting outfit. I fiddled with my inventory and crafting supplies for a while, and sold an old bed I replaced a couple days earlier (Why are single beds gnome sized???). I put all my armor on except for the leggings because I thought it looked cool with the newbie skirt and took off for Antonica.

First stop: buy level 67 - 69 crafting books. Running to the griffon station I realized my undies were showing a bit too much and I put my greaves on. I zoned up to Tenebrous Tangle at the spire, then realized that wasn't where I wanted to be. So I harvested a couple animal dens that weren't guarded by dozens of basilisks and ran back to the teleporter to Antonica. Ran to TS, ran to the spire there and zoned up to BArren Skies. I bought my books from Penny Dreadful (love that name) and harvested the nodes there that are outside aggro range and COQ'ed back home.

Next activity for the night was to resume the Peacock Club quest. I was on the part where you need to retrace the dead guy's travels in SS and kill some sires. The first one forced me to get past the sirens on Hullcrusher Rock (the spiral shaped island out from the dock). Not having fought anything for some time I died twice to the first of them. (^^^ ten levels below me :P) Tried to invis with a chameleon totem - no good, they see through. The third time went much better with a potion and getting back in stride. Spawned that sire and killed him easily. The next 4 spawned fights went smoothly except for a fall off a climbing wall resulting in death but placing me at the top of the wall I was trying to climb anyway (HA!). Went back to Maj'Dul and turned in the quest and got the flag to enter the Peacock Club, which I did and got the next part of the series. Infiltrate the Courts and steal banners. I started working on that and also found a "Cheering Fan" to complete my Residents of Maj'Dul creature catalog. (10% of level 55!!!)

Two and a half hours total, I had accomplished something, had some fun, and left the world a better place (at least until the MoB's repopped). More than you ever wanted to know, I'm sure.

I have been playing my alts. I get so sick of the attitudes these players have at 50 plus. Healers won't join you unless they are #5 or #6 in a perfect group and then you have to go where they want to go. Your DPS gets mad because group isn't together in 5 minutes and they leave and start shouting LFG, and for the past month the only place I ever can get everybody to agree to go is POF and I am sick of that ugly twisty turny area. I also am sick of the lvl 50 to 53ish DPS/healers saying that a lvl 56 tank is not high enough for there group. I can tank orange mobs with little problems (which is lvl 60 now), and I can tank yellows quite well. I have yet to get a KOS group, yet I see dps and heals in the 52ish range jump right into them. Why do people get such smug picky attitudes at higher levels?

Lydiaele, it's nice to know that other people have crafting outfits. What's yours? Mine is naked with the exception of my Santa hat. I call it my chef hat since I am a provisioner. I believe in crafting naked. I keep saying I am gonna have a bumper sticker made that says "craft naked." I would love to see peopl's reactions to that one.

I bought the "Female Tradesperson's" top, pants, gloves and shoes from the city merchant (level 15 guild, I think). They qualify as naked because they don't have any stats other than a little mitigation. It's the same gray pinstriped crop top outfit some NPC's wear.

I think my newbie outfit makes me look fat... :P

I am also a believer in "craft naked" and got both of my guilded crafters Tradeperson's outfits from the status sales NPC in Elddar Grove. My unguilded crafter (the lvl 49 provie) has to make do with dropped armor that carries no stats. (Which is fine because I rarely let him out of the crafting dungeon and into the light of day!)

If there's anything I learned today, it's the fact that even mobs that are ten levels lower can still be quite dangerous. If they are heroic ^^^. Especially groups of them, but that's quite logical.

I've occupied myself these last few days with clearing my quest journal of all my green quests. These are mostly the book quests like the Three Keys, Trial of Kayne Bayle, Tale of a Martyr, ... And the annoying part is the fact that you often have to kill ten times the same mob, three times even. I know it isn't quite as I should do it, but I do love my feign death as a monk! (doesn't always work though, sometimes the mob group doesn't respawn) Having actually sought 30 young timber badgers once, I am not doing that again the hard way.

Anyway, now I'm just trying to clear my Crypt of Betrayal quests, with the quest in the Hive to kill the Queen as the hard one (solo anyway, but with my feign death to break up an encounter I should be able to do it even if the mobs are still green ^^^).

After that, I'm going for a few more levels, almost 36 as it is.

And writs, going to have to start doing more writs for the guild!

Actually I do wear more than my hat. I have my shirt that I got through the tradeskill quest. I will have to go and see what the city merchant has to offer.

I am seriously thinking about that bumper sticker. I have a friend that is very skilled and just might be able to whip up an image to submit to Cafe Express. I will let you all know if that happens.
