I have been looking to get various handcrafted items made but it seems like there is a huge lack of tradeskillers willing to work for affordable prices. So anyways what do you all think are some Fair Prices to charge per tier?
I have a 24 necro and have been trying my best to get him decent stuff. Right now I have the root and extract for a tier 3 doll. I finnally found a tailor lfw and he tells me he wants 25 gold for labor!!!! Now come on 25 gold for a tier 3 combine PLUS I supply the rares? I wouldn't pay 25 gold for a tier 3 doll allready made on broker.
Another time I found a sage and he wanted 7 gold for tier 3 combines app4 or adept 3 (I supply rare of course). No way I would pay 7 gold for a app4 spell.
My paladin never paid over 10 to 15 gold for tier 6 combines (cobalt weapons/armor/adept 3's/rare rings) and tier 6 actually has steep fuel costs! In fact I offered a sage once 6 gold to make a tier 5 spell (app4) and he laughed and told me I was askign too much and would only accept 3 gold.
Just seems like people are getting VERY greedy on labor costs. It must be nice to be able to make that kind of money for a few combines, I have yet to get over 1gold25silver out of the 5 hour tier 4 provisioner drinks! And drink harvests are not cheap.

I never have the LFW tag up, so I am never actually "looking for work" however I have frequently been asked to make things, Adept 3's mostly. (I have a high-level alchemist, sage, jeweler & tailor.)
My pricing point is usually double what it costs to make (the only ingredient I request is the rare - if I have to purchase the rare, that goes into the price obviously). I have never had a problem with that, I make some money (not a ton, but still a nice bit of change) and usually the tips are very generous as well.
One point I wanted to bring up - sage combines are more expensive than alchemist combines. So if you came to me and asked for a Necro Adept 3 spell and a Paladin Adept 3 spell (for the same tier), I would ask for more for the Necro spell as it costs me more to make.
People are indeed greedy, and my advice is to look for different folks to do your stuff (and not necessarily only those that are LFW). Hopefully you will get lucky. (And if you happen to be on the Befallen server, look me up

)I finnally found somebody willing to do some of this. They asked for 2 gold per combine and I gave them 3 per combine. Had to pay the tailor 5 gold for combines but at least its done. I figure at least with caster armor I don't have to worry about upgradeing it every 10 levels since it doesn't seem to really make or break ya (I get agression im dead that simple).
