What's this I hear about after the last fix for the broker system that you know get messages while out running around that so&so just bought such&such for this many copper? I love it if I am getting this right.

Yeah you get your cast when you log in or when you are out and about so you no longer have to go to your house to pick it up. The only draw back I have seen so far is that I can no longer enter someone elses house to check whats up on the broker. I used to do that when I forgot the name of the person i was going to buy stuff from.

I don't like the new system at all. I miss that lovely "cha-ching" when I enter my room. A lot of times I will be running EQ Live in the background with the broker up and now when I playing EQ II an here the cha-ching I don't know if it's Live or II. I have yet to see a message in II informing me of someone's purchase.

I don't complain often but this is one change I would like to see rolled out the door.

I haven't had a problem myself but some people are complaining that you can be out adventuring in the wilds when suddenly "cha-ching" you get 1500 silver and 2000 copper dumped on you and you're encumbered.

People on PvP don't like it because when you get killed by another player they get a percentage of the coin you're carrying.

I would have to say that I am also against this change. I don't see what was wrong with it in the first place.

A.) You have a room where you sell stuff.

B.) You need to go back to your room to check and see if anything sold.

Part of the definition of a MMORPG is TIMESINK!!!! I never felt burdoned by having to return back to my house/apartment to see if anything has sold. Plus, I liked the anticpation of whether or not I would hear the "ka-ching" as I zoned into my pad.

Now you just see a message that someone has purchased something and somehow the money magically appears in your wallet...

I'm wondering if this change is involved with a fix to stop the duping racket somehow.

And btw, on PvP servers the money now goes straight to the players bank.

You might not get the cha-ching but you can still look at your sales log in your room Smiley: smile

Absolutely. I think it may also have been the reason for the recent changes to the way the overflow slot and having full inventory works. (Now you can't harvest, craft or buy anything if your inventory is full even if the overflow slot is not.)

They're completely overhauling the consignment and offline selling system because of all the duping exploits, so there may be changes to anything related in the near future.
