WTF does it mean that server Unrest is LOCKED?
When will it end?
Do I get extra TIME, for my inabilitity to PLAY my game?

Abbi, it is scheduled Maintanence, it was supposed to be over by 1pm Est, but as you should know by now, it never ends right when it is supposed too.

Only if they cause a long downtime, then SOE will announce a free recoup period.
Go back to FFXI only if you don't like EQ2. Your choice, not ours.
Turns out that the 3 servers downtime was a merger with the Asian EQ2 population since they do not have enough playing to keep thier own servers. SOE still has not announced anything official, but this is what I read.
Najena - Chinese players.
Mistmoore - Taiwan players.
Unrest - Korean players.
So when you see players running around with [][][][] for names and in channels chats, this is why. They merged all of them in without a proper autotranslate put in place.
This is a bit discerning that they did this without any announcement or warning, but this game still tops FFXI by a mile so I am not going to worry about it.
