A few questions regarding Vitality & Crafting.Follow

I've been hearing lately that you get Vitality when you log out. What this does is increases the amount of experience you obtain from mobs when you kill them, until the Vitality runs out. Is this "Vitality" accumulated no matter where you are when you logout? How can you tell when you've consumed it all?

I feel like such a newbie in this game, but I find it very interesting, I must say I find the controlling of the character sometimes a bit awkward, as if there is a fraction of a second of a delay when you move your character. (sorry got off topic there)

I've been searching around here for a guide on crafting and the couple that I did find didn't work so well for me. Are there any newbie guides around here for crafting or could someone link for me? (ie where to go, what are your choices, what is artisan and scholar lvl 10 to 20??) I am almost ready to leave the starting island, and other then harvesting, I haven't done anything else. What would one suggest to craft for a bruiser? Can I level up mulitple crafts or just a couple? (as in WoW)

I appreciate the helpfulness of the community here. More so then I've ever seen, even more then FFXI. (WoW doesn't even register on the scale) As well on the game you can tell right away when you start that the maturity is much higher. Thanks for your responses all!

Another OT note: Is it just me or is the island totally different then a year ago? I remember before when I tried EQ2 that there was a trap door in the tower at the starting area, you had to go downstairs and sort out furniture etc? (cheesy) Smiley: laugh

Edit: Please disregard the crafting questions, I found a similar thread just a tad bit down, sorry.

This thread should answer almost all of your questions.

One of the best places to go for crafting information is EQ2 Traders. They have a lot of great guides there and should get you started on the right path.

It is very hard to tell you what to craft as a bruiser. It all depends on what you value most. If you like making your own spells, become an Alchemist. If you like making your own armor, become a tailor. If you like making your own weapons, become a woodworker or weaponsmith. It really matters how you want to proceed. Let us know what you like and we would be able to help you more.

The crafting levels work like this:

Between levels 1-9 you are considered an artisan and can craft anything for those levels. At level 10, you must select your path (outfitter, scholar, craftsman). Once you choose one of these paths you CANNOT change. At level 20, you will then refine your class selection even further. Again, you CANNOT change your profession once you have picked. Outfitters can be tailors, armorers or weaponsmiths. Scholars can be jewelers, sages or alchemists. Crafsman can be woodworkers, carpenters or provisioners. The only way to level multiple crafts is to start an alt. One toon can only hold one tradeskill profession at a time.
