Got some questions :D

Did most people from EQ1 switch to EQ2?

Do you think this game will live as long as EQ1?

Are there still alot of Dedicated players playing EQ2?

Are the servers populated alot the majority of nights?

Simple questions i needed to get off my mind hehe thanks.

Hard to say, but I am one. The day of release for EQ2, I never went back. There are still many players on EQ1 keeping the torch lit.

Absolutely, since the game is such a higher quality. EQ1 still gets patchs, fixes, and adjutments. I'd expect the same here.

I think the player base is around 300K, so it's a nice population without being congested. But like any game, some get tired of one and go try another. We've had people leave EQ2 to go to WoW, and people leave WoW to come to EQ2.

Many servers are populated all day, but it ebbs and flows. Best thing to do is create a character when you plan on doing your normal playing. When picking a server, you'll be on during normal play times and be able to see the population loads.

Also dont fret if it seems that you dont see many people in the early levels. With the release of the expansion less people are playing there alts and with the amount of zones there are it sometimes feels that they are empty.

I still play EQ Live and EQ II. I play EQ LIve on Monday nights, mostly, with my sons and one of their fiancees. We call it our "Family Night." I play it again to get a level or spells so I can keep up with the boys and the lady (ages 25 - 21).

Normally when the EQ II server goes down I play on EQ II test but I think I will start playing a little more of EQ Live so I can keep up with them.

My preference is to play EQ II. I love everything about the game. It truly is a questing game whereas I never really did much of the questing in Live.

I think both games will live long and prosper. Both seem to have a dedicated player base. There will be the eb and flow when a new game comes out somewhere else or a new expansion comes out but I think they generally steady.
