Selling ItemsFollow

Yesterday was my first day playing. At the end of the day I went into my home and figured out how to sell to players.Yes, I know basic stuff, but I have been searching for good beginner guides and have not found much.

What I was wondering is, does this work like a Bazaar where you must be online to sell them or is it like an auction house where once you put them up for sale you can logoff and they will remain up for sale?

If you remian in your house, everything on your personal bags and in the vault will be for sale, as long as you've designated it for sale.

Once you leave your room, only your vault items will be listed. When you log out, your vault items will remain listed for 24 hours, then removed from the listing. To get them back on, simply log back in.

The smart seller will put a large bag or box in the 2 slots in the vault, increasing storage size.

If you downolad the Thor UI from EQ II Interface http://www.eq2interface.com/downloads/fileinfo.php?id=3509

it has a built in button to search the broker on an iteam you are listing to sell. I believe that this is a Thor UI feature only. It really makes it so much easier to sell on the broker with the ability to see what others are selling at.

If I am mistaken then never mind.

Thank you for the tip. I have only been playing 2 days now and most of it has been wandering around learning the game, but I put my 2, 12 bags in my Vault allowing me to sell 24 items at a time, and I have made a little over 34 Gold ( which is proably chump change, but seems like alot to me as a level 10 conjuror).

Thanks again. ^^

Smiley: jawdrop

That is definitely not a little amount for level 10. Nice work.

Nice, maybe I can start a craft now then, thats one thing I never got into in FFXI that I wanted to get into in EQ2.

As for being a ringer, lol, well here is how I made most of it. I got 2 drops leveling around 4-5 in Okemost(sp?) forest. In 2 treasure chests I got the same books called Adept <something> volume 5 & 6. I still do not know what they are for, but I looked at the going rpice on AH and everyone had them between 15-25 gold each, so I put both of mine up for 10 Gold each, then the rest was just a bunch of other drops combined to make the rest.

I never understood people paying that much for those low level adepts. In a couple levels it will be worthless anyways and it doesnt take long to level when you are that low. It made a little more sense when you had to switch your spells for mentoring but now that you dont have to do that it seems a waste of money to buy adept spells that low.

Actually, Proroc I believe was a little off. Those are not spell volumes. Those are recipe books. It seems he is referring to artisan components volumes 5 & 6, which is one book. New players especially will pay loads of money for the advanced crafting books at low levels because they want to have all the books. They soon realize after the fact that their "investment" was a waste because they are already well above the uses of anything in those books.

I made a similar mistake except I farmed the books myself. I stayed in Tier 1 far too long just to get the recipe books. It took me almost a week to get all of the books. It took me two more days to have no use for them. Smiley: banghead

I believe there are some rare furniture recipes in there as well and since it is so easy to harvest rares in T1, you can get some decent status-reducing furniture if you have the right recipe book.

Not that that makes it worth the price people charge, but it could be another reason to have it.

Hi,

Is the EQ2 community generally open to auctioning items, in-game or in independent site?
