I was just curious, as to what effects the amount of VItality you have at any given time?

Your vitality starts at 100% and is used up as you kill mobs. as long as you have any at all, you will be earning double XP. The purpose of this is to let casual players keep up with the more hard core "I am always on and raid 6 nights a week" players.

If you are using a potion or collecting additional bonus XP, (like during a bonus XP weekend), your vit will drain faster.

Whenever you are not playing or adventuring, your vit builds back up at a rate of a few percent per day.

BTW - you also have crafting vitality so theroretically, you could alternate between adventuring and crafting and never run out of either.

To add just a pinch, your Vitality recovers constantly at a rate of .5% an hour. Even if you are on and killing mobs, you will still recover it.

However, when you kill mobs, you loose it faster than you gain it, hence the steady decline.

It takes about 8 days to go from 0 to 100 vitality.

Also, the loss to vitality depends on the quality of the mob killed or item crafted. You will lose more vitality for killing a triple up even con than you would if it had been a triple up green con. By the same token, you will not lose as much vitality for killing a group of triple down even cons as you would if it had been just a single no arrow even con. Crafting works a little different.

You will lose a substantial amount of vit for making an item pristine for the first time. After that it will level off and you will not lose as much. Furthermore, you will lose less vitality for making a crude item than you would a shaped and so on.

To sum it up, the vitality loss depends on the experience gained from the encounter while adventuring or crafting.

yes, Najena! sorry, and thanks for all the responses. This is off subject, but, Are there any class quests for armor, in EQ2? I heard people talking about AQ or something? I just keep leveling lol, and havnt looked into any important quests I should be doing. In Everquest Online Adventures, there were class quests, most of which I didnt do, because I was level hungry, and just level'd. I Also hate doings quests in most mmorpg's, with the exception of EQ2. I like the voice over characters, and the quests system ( the book above peoples heads, and feathers).

Yes there are class Armor Quests (AQ's). However, if your sig is right they may not do you much good since they are level 20 quests. Then again, I do not know the pieces of armor you are wearing. I know cloth is hard to come by so they might be worth looking into. I don't know who you need to see in Freeport. I'm sure someone else can lead you to the right NPC.
