Adept 3 necro petsFollow

I was just wondering, the strength difference between, a Adept 3 version as opposed to the apprentice I version? Is the Adept 3 a super heroic version that is very noticably stronger?

Actually I do not think your pet gets any more hitpoints. I actually tested this with the lvl 20 caster pet. I cast the pet and did not buff it. I then cast the posses minion AP spell on the pet. His hitpoints was 333. I then killed that pet and updated to adept 1 and resummoned it. The pet still had 333 hitpoints and the same power. However the procs looked like they did about 25% more damage and was alot more likely to land.

Even with a adept 3 pet I generally can't heal it fast enough to keep up with the dps the mobs are doing. At least now pets can taunt though, back in the older days of eq2 pets didn't taunt. After about 2 heals your pet lost agression and you died.

I personalyl don't feel like the DPS pets are worth updating past adept 1 until you get to raiding levels. They do not do much more DPS between adept 1 and ADept 3, and they have the same hitpoints. However tank pets can hold agression better so I always try to update them to adept 3.

I seen somebody today selling the lvl 20 necro pet master 1 for 70 gold. I was really tempted to buy it but since I am 26 now and get a scout pet in a couple of levels i just don't see the need to. PLus 70 gold is alot for a lvl 20 spell I don't care if it is master 1.
