Hows the PvP?Follow

Well its a question that must be asked ^_^

I was considering returning to eq2, and if the pvp is good i probably will. The pvp has been out a little while now, so how is it?

Don't know, don't care. Me -vs- the enviornment yields plenty of excitement. I have no interest in killing other players... but to each his own...

IMHO, PvP is the ideal outlet for 14 year old misfit boys with an excess of testostrone, who are desperate to prove to anyone and everyone that they have a pair. But, I could be wrong...

The PVP is awsome.

I had heard about it on some EQ 1 forums and it motivated me enough to go and download the free trial. Well not only did I fall in love with EQ 2 but also with the PVP. It is so much fun. You have gotta try it.

I like the idea about being able to pilage other peoples towns and what not, but it makes things real hard trying to level up on a pvp server. The Vox server was the only server that wasnt Heavy traffic or full at the time I created my character.

So you bought the game too? I was for sure you can't PvP on the isle and if you went to the main land you would have to buy the game. If you welcome.

I suppose that was a little confusing.

I like games with PVP so I never tried EQ 2 because there was no PVP. But when it was launched I read up on the PVP and tried the game, I liked the game play and the style. That compelled me to go ahead and get the full version, and when I got to PVP I was even more satisfied. That is what I meant, sorry for the confusion.

With all the changes they made with how zoning and dieing in and out of the cities goes it sounds like there is plenty of ganking and griefing, which is exactly why I won't touch it. Im sure its better on eq2 then it was in eq1, but once again for those who haven't seen my previous posts about PVP eq1 turned me away from it forever. Nothing but a bunch of immature kids getting off on ganking you when your half health and in the middle of battle.

Its not actualy all that bad, they way they have it set up works fairly well. What turned me off is the fact that you can't get anything done.

As most of you know I'm obsessed with quests and I kept getting ganked while trying to do them lol, so I decided to just delete my char and reroll him back on lucan lol.

PvP is loads of fun. I can't go back to PvE. Nothing like fighting a real human, even if he's 14 yrs old. If you want to do Quests, join one of the 1001 guilds. I always get help from my guild if I need it. The only problem I've had is with AQs in Fallen Gate, but even that is ok. This is the best PvP system I've played so far. You really feel a sense of accomplishment when you level that I didn't get from PvE. Most of the folks who don't like it are trying to solo at L15 and wonder why they keep getting ganked. You gotta think differently on PvP, level in different places, and always be on the lookout.

I can say one thing: PvP has made me a much better player. You learn very fast how to play your class. It's a sweet feeling to beat an enemy that doesn't just stand there while you beat on it, and to team up with friends to defeat groups of the enemy. I realize pvP isn't everyone's bag, but you should really give it a shot. I didn't think I'd like it, and now I'm hooked. Oh, my poor main on Mistmoore...
