Will it run on my computer?Follow

Ok, I know basically nothing about computers but this is what it says on the front.

I have a hp pavilion a510n

3000+ AMD Athlon XP processor (2.10GHz)

512 MB PC2700 DDR SDRAM memory

120GB 7200RPM Ultra DMA hard drive

CD-RW drive

DVD-Rom drive- 16x max. speed

Integrated graphics with 64MB shared video memory

Will this computer be able to run everquest 2 and if not what do I need to upgrade?

(I'm planning on upgrading my ram another 512MB soon)

In a word, no.

Your ram is bare minimum and your video card is way below minimum.

Even though the framework of your rig is fine, you can make some easy and almost cheap upgrades.

Get at least 1GB RAM, more if you can afford it. Get a video card that supports vertex shading (it will say on the box), and at least 128BM RAM on the card.

With those 2 simple upgrades, you should be running fine.

I think the nicest video card for the money right now is the GForce XFX 6600. Of course, I know that if I am wrong I will be corrcted.

Ummmm... you said "I think", so you expressed an opinion... how can anybody possibly claim that your opinion is wrong??? There may be other options but what you think is what you think and isn't subject to being right or wrong... (in my opinion!)

2 + 2 = 4

opinion?

some things are verifiable facts

Incidentally the 6600gt card is a good bang for the buck card, but your budget for upgrades would make suggesting one easier.

I disagree. Your comment, for example, was stated as a fact. Now, if you had said, "I think anything anyone says is their opinion.", that would be an opinion.
